Fantabulous Cricut #48

Hi Everyone!!! It's been way too long since I have done anything and I need to get myself in gear! So first and foremost I want to say thank you to everyone that has followed me! I <3>

One of my favorite places to play challanges is over at Fantabulous Cricut! They always have such fun challanges and this week was no exception!! This weeks challange #48 is to emboss it! WOOHOO!!! I went to my local Archivers a few weeks ago and learned this embossing technique that I have been begging to do! So here is my take on this weeks challange and thanks to the ladies at Archivers!!

White cardstock for the card back sprayed with glimmer mist. I used lilly pad, jack frost and pink bubblegum.

To do the squares I used a Hero Arts Stamp I just got from Archivers and stamped it with Versamark and then used Rose, Frost, and Leaf zing embossing powders.

Stamp the butterfly image three times with the versamark and then sprinkle the three different stamps with the three colors listed about. Heat until the embossing powder is dry and shiny :)

I love my craft mat!! Its so versatile. You can use it for so many things. For this particular card I used it basically as a painting mat. I took three distressed inks and just placed it on the craft mat and basically made a swatch of each color to use.

I got these brushes from Hobby Lobby. They are so fun with the distress inks. You fill them with water and you add a few drops of water to the swatch of distress inks and go for it! Paint in the butterflies on the stamp! Nice thing about this is you dont have to know how to paint or be an expert painter!!! If you go outside the lines it is easly cleaned off the embossed image with the part not embossed it stays perfectly! Looks hard its actually really simple!

I came home and started getting out more stamps to try this on! I just love the way it looks!

Sentiment was a stamp from Hobby Lobby as well. The butterflys were cut using my new pink big kick I used a spellbinder shapeabilities die that cuts and embosses! To make the embossed parts stand out even more I left them in the cutting dye and stamped the emobossed side with versamark and carefully let them fall out and heated them with my heating gun and there you have it!!! Hope you all enjoy my card and give this a try! If you have any questions just let me know!

Fantabulous Cricut is having a great Halloween challange this week!

If you click on the picture it will take you to the challange :) Or at least I think it will haha!

What a busy month this has been! Its just FLYING by :) I am half way done with my prison groups and that is both good and bad. When its over I have to say goodbye to them forever. Its hard after sharing some of the most emotional times of our lives with each other. God is all over that let me tell ya! Tonight one of our guys told his story and it was just heart breaking! Im not making any excuses for what he did but I dont know how he manage to survive. Anyway, he broke down and so did I.

I just dont understand why people are so bad to others. It just makes me so sad to think that this is what the world is about now. Each man for himself. Anyone gets in the way you push them out of the way.

Ok off subject LOL Sorry I just needed to vent and dont ask me why I did it here :)

Ok so the challange this week is something for Halloween!! I am in a card exchange group and every month we exchange cards and I made a halloween card. I used the tree from Happy Hauntings cut at 3 inches. I used a punch by martha stewart for the dripping blood (evil laugh). Added a few little places with bling and there you have it!

Fantabulous Cricut Animal Challange!

So today in the mail I was so excited to find that the Rock Princess Cartridge I ordered was here already!!! I CANT BELIEVE IT!! So many cute ideas from this cartridge! So I decided to make the butterfly on page 67.

The card was cut at 5 X7 my new favorite size for cards :)

The cardstock I used was from DCWV The Black Currant Stack. I love it! It has so many beautiful pages I imagine I will be using it often. I did leave the sentiment part blank I have not decided what to use this card for. I think it will be a birthday card for my daughter :) Shhh dont tell her!

The butterfly is cut at 3 1/2 and the border was black cardstock cut at 4x6

All the edges are inked and I did add a little stickles to the butterfly for that extra pop!

Strawberry Dreams :)

Hi Everyone!

Tonight I wanted to do a challange at Fantabulous Cricut :) The challange was to make something sweet.

Challenge Me Monday #18
We have the sweetest, coolest and the most delicious treats for you this week at Fantabulous Cricut!
Challenge #18
Cool Yummy Treat w/ Optional Shape Card
Create a yummy treat shape card (optional) or project, I can't wait to see your delicious creations.... mmmmmmm.
*As always, there does need to be a Cricut cut somewhere on your project, it does not have to be the item listed in the theme, though the theme does need to be incorperated as well.

Sooooo I recently got the preserves cartridge. It has the cutest little strawberry! So I decided to do a strawberry card. I used the cut on page 53 I used my gypsy to weld both base pieces together at 5 .25. After that I used the red glitter paper to go on the front so its a bright shiny strawberry! I used green glitter paper and also silver glitter paper for all the pieces. :)

I hope you enjoy this fun card!
