Hi everyone! I love the 4th of July! Its such a fun holiday! Spending time with family, watching fireworks :) Picnics and BBQs! How is all that not fun???

I am blessed (at times) to have two men in my life serving in the US Army. My son is stationed in Alaska at the time. Just home from a trip to Iraq. My brother is doing his first tour in Afghanstan. Knowing these two has mad me totally change the way I feel abot this holiday. This holiday is a time to celebrate all those that fought hard to make us what we are today!!

Ok so of my soap box :) I miss them both dealy!

I crated this card to enter it in cricut cardz challange

If you have not done the challanges with this group you should! They always have such great ideas.

I used the stand and salute cart for everything on this page. I cut the fireworks out and then I just sprinkled them with Embossing stuff and used a heater and embossed them. It worked great!

Hugs to you all!

Fantabulous Cricut!

With a brother and a son in the army I love this card! I feel so close to them :) I love them very much!

This card was cut from the Stand and Salute Cartridge. The fireworks stamp I found at Hobby Lobby and the rest is just card stock. :)

The fireworks are actually embossed :) I love that glitter embossing stuff :) It is so pretty!

Easy card!
Hope you all enjoy it!

The inside has a stamp about being a Hero since this card is going to on of the two men in my life that are in the army :) I couldnt get a clear picture of it I will try again tomorrow :( The card is stamped with black versamark so I dont know what the deal is!

I am going to enter this card in the fantabulous cricut challange! The challange was starts and I have stars on my sentiments! :) I love the challanges they have they are always so creative and the design team is AWESOME! So if you have not checked them out you should!

Cricut Crazy: Fantabulous Cricut!

Fantabulous Cricut!

I love this little card! I used the flip flops from the pink ribbon cartridge :) I also layed the card with several layers that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist to add some bling and special colors to match everything else.
I also used the doodle charms cartridge to build the border around this card.

I am also going to enter this one into the scetc challange over at Card Patterns!

I did want to TRY to include a picture that shows the flip flops. I actually used some clear pop dots to get them to look real as possible! The picures dont show it well so I hope I explained it well enough :) Also, the cute flip flop ribbon I found at Michaels! WOOHOO!

Thank you again for looking!!

City Crafters Challenge

This card was so much fun! I used the gypsy to weld together two imaiges from the Create a critter cartridge :) I cut them at 5.25. I used pearls on the flowers in her hair and tail and also on the little purse I made for her. I LOVED making this card it was so much fun! I really got to be creative with this one!

I used a standard cut of a card from the sentiments cartridge then I cut two circles and inked them up and did stitching in black all the way around the circles and the card. Then I colored my little bear blue and green!! Sooooooo Cute! Used some pop dots to give it some depth. Stamped Happy Birthday and used some Stickles I LOVE STICKLESSSSSSS!

Sweet Stamping Challange Blog

I thought this was a great challange! I was ready to make something simple to send out for the 4th of July holiday. I wanted something I could make pretty quick and easy!

I used the blank card on the sentiments cartridge to cut my card. The red cardstock was cut at 5.25 :) The white piece of cardstock was cut from the plantin school cartridge. I cut it at 4.25. Then I used a corner punch to do all the corners of the white paper. I then used pop dots to put down the white.

I used a stamp purchased from Hobby Lobby that looks like fireworks. I actually used blue, red, and white embossing powder for the background fireworks. The only other cuts I used are the 4th of July and the American Pride were both cut at 3.25 :)

I hope you enjoy this card!! I am sending this one to my brother who is serving our country in Afghanastan. He has been gone a few months and I miss him like crazy. His daughter Joanna (8) comes to my house to play with the cricut. I am also posting her card that she is sending to her daddy. I am sure the big tough army guys will love this BRIGHT pink cardstock and all the hearts :)

I am also going to enter this card in another challange over at My Sheri Crafts! Its a patriotic theme this week! WOOHOOO!

I love this challange. It is my first color challange and it was so much fun I want to do another one!! I need a program for my addiction haha!

For my project I used the new Billionaire cartridge for ALL the cuts. My husband is very fond of his pipe and he LOVES records. Yes like the old round ones LOL!! It does have a touch of red and that is the heart above the "i" in married :)

We married in Nov of last year so we are still newly weds. I am working on our pictures and getting them all in a book :) I wanted to do them all very special!

Here is the link for the challange if you would like a chance to play along! They have great goodies that I hope I win hehehe...

BBTB2- Rainbow challange

I LOVE this rainbow challange. I made the rainbow with some glittery card stock. Then I found some rainbow ribbon to lace around the card. Gave the clouds a little smile and everyone was happy! On the inside of the card I added a cut from Lacy Labels that reads "Find your rainbow". On the front of the card it says "hi".

I love the way this rainbow turned out! Thank you for looking I hope it at least makes you smile! Its just the happiest rainbow EVER :) HUGS!!

I left off the picture of the label on the inside so here it is :)

That is the link so if you would like to participate also! Its so much fun! Its not even about winning its about pushing the box and getting you to do that something extra special!

Flower Power!

For a gift for my husband for Fathers Day I made him this 12x12 page and framed it for his office. Since we married in November he can now celebrate Fathers Day for the first time :) He makes a wonderful stepfather for my children. He is such a wonderful man :)
Ok All the flowers are mostly 3 layers with a few with two layers. The layers were all inked and then I used glimmer mist to give them a shimmering look.
For the frames for the picture I used the new walmart cartridge Lacy Labels. Let me tell ya ladies everyone is going to LOVE this cart. No MORE PUNCHES!! haha not that I had that many but with this cart you can make all kinds of nested things :) Love Love Love it!!

Cottage Comfort - These colors and the flowers match that snuggly bed! I must be sleepy :)

Card for a challange

This card is so cute! I made it for my Nana (8) :) She loves to make stuff with the cricut and is often here on the weekends because I am the best aunt!! We have a blast together :) I made her this card as an invite to come scrap with me!! Im going to mail it to her because I know she gets so excited to get real mail!! I spoil her LOTS because her mother is kinda in the picture some but her daddy is in the Army and stationed in Afghanastan at the moment. So she has been a little depressed.

I am going to enter this in this challange.. The challange was to sew sew sew :) So I did with all the bears and other stuff.
I used the new Lite cartridge called Slumber Party from Walmart!! So much fun with this cart already!

Does cricut = divorce LOL

Ok Ladies I am wondering if you guys are getting in as much trouble as I feel like I am! Another trip to walmart and ended up with not 1 but 4 more NEW cartridges :) Not to mention that Hubby said it was ok for me to join the cricut circle :) Is anyone else going to do that? It sounds pretty awesome. You get 4 carts a year included in your membership and a sneak peak at carts before they come out. Plus you get news letters and some other stuff. Oh yeah 800 points to add to your rewards points. I think you can get many different carts with 800 points so almost like getting 5 carts a year like that. Anyway, If anyone lives near Austin Texas and are looking for the new walmart carts the walmart in Buda has them all :) Ohhhhh it was hard not to buy them all :)

I will post some new stuff I do with them soon I have had a terrible kidney infection but I am starting to feel better :) so back to my cricut I go!!

Cricut Cardz Challange

This week it was to do something with shoes :) Anyway we want and any cartridge we want!! Well tonight I ran out to my Walmart just to see if they had any of the new carts in and they DID!! WOOOHOOOO! I got 4 new ones!!! Well after getting them home and looking at them I fell in love with the hightops on the slumber party cartridge!!! I used it to make the shoes and the sentiment. My niece is 8 and is often feeling cheated since I dont make cards for her fast enough! So, this one is for her!

I am also going to enter this one on Frosted Designs :) They wanted glitter, glitter and more glitter! I used glitter paper and also stickles :) I LOVE GLITTER!!!!!!!!!

Sun for BBTB2

IM not sure what is going on with my blog tonight but I cant seem to copy and paste links :(

I worked on a card last night for the challange at BBTB2 :) They asked we use the sun from doodle charms and wow the designers had some great ideas. I dont have that cart yet so I though I would come up with my own sun. I used a sun from another cartridge and then I copied the cut several times with different paper. I layered the papers enough so I had room to place some seed beads inside that rattle around when you move the card. I just love that part of it. The rest is very simpe I just wanted the main thing to be the sun and the beads inside the sun. Im not sure what you call that but Im sure it has a name :)

Hope you enjoy my card

New Lite Cartridges!!!

WOOHOOO I ran out to my walmart and they had a few of the new cartridges :) I have 4 of them now. I am going to play with them and post my projects!

What fun What fun!!

Last night I finally had time to sit down and enjoy my gypsy some more :) I decided to work on a card for a couple of challanges... First was the Fantabulous Cricut challange

to do a bride :) Last November I myself was a bride so while thinking about what a special time in my life it was I remembered that the actual engagement was the beginning of my days as a bride so I wanted to do something along those lines.. So I created this card with that in mind..
I was also able to enter this one on for the buttons I used :) These buttons were so wonderful and just felt right to use on this card :) I felt love flowing all over this card! awwww!!
